"Emergency Room Encounter"
Dear Friends and Family,
Several weeks ago we were at a church and the pastor got a message that two of their lady members were in an automobile accident. After the service was over, Lena and I went to the hospital emergency room along with the pastor. Upon arriving, the room was full. There was a man there that was very upset because no one was taking care of his daughter. He was very upset and angry. He told us to be prepared to wait for a long time because he and his daughter had been waiting for over three hours.
The man told us that his daughter had been running and stepped into a hole with one leg half way up her shin and then bent it forward. He then started telling us about how the hospital and doctors didn’t care anything about his daughter and that he felt like getting a gun and shooting up the place.
What would you do in a situation like this? Lena had the answer. She turned and looked at me and said, “You have to do something”. At that moment the only thing I could think of was “God heal his little daughter”. I told the man that I was a Minister and asked if I could pray for his daughter, she looked as if she was about six or seven years old, and was in a wheel chair. He told me I could.
As everyone in the room watched with suspense, I put my hand on her shin and commanded the leg to be healed in the name of Jesus. Then I asked her if the pain was gone and she said it was. I helped her out of the wheelchair and had her step down and walk. As she started to walk, all of a sudden she started running. God had healed her. I turned to her father and told him the reason he had to wait over three hours was because God wanted me to pray for his little girl so that she wouldn’t need to have surgery on her leg.
When he got up and started to leave, I noticed he was bent over and had to use a cane. I asked him why he had to use the cane. He told me that he had been in an automobile accident and had severed the ligament on the side of his foot and he could only twist his foot from side to side and not up and down. He also said that he had his knee operated on and wasn’t able to move it without pain. He told me that he was going to have his spine wired up because his spine had been injured as well. I asked if I could pray for him. He said I could.
I put my hand on the ligament on the side of his foot and commanded it to be healed. I then told him to do something that he wasn’t able to do before. He then squatted down and did a deep knee bend and stood back up without any pain. God had healed his knee. I then had him set in a chair
and I held his legs up. One leg was about an inch shorter than the other. I told him it was shorter because of his back being out of place. While holding his legs I commanded all the disks and vertebras in his back to align and go into place. As I prayed, his leg started to move and his legs became the same length. At that point he pulled his shirt over his eyes and began to cry and said, “I don’t understand, I don’t understand”. I told him that God loved him so much that he healed him and his little girl. I then asked him to stand and walk without his cane. He said that he couldn’t walk without his cane. I put his cane down and held his hand and told him I would help him walk. He took a couple of steps and I let go of his hand and he started walking by himself without the cane. I asked him how his back was and he said all the pain was gone.
He then thanked me. I told him that Jesus had healed them. I asked him if he would like to ask Jesus into his heart. He told me that he had gone to church but got hurt and left the church. I told him he would have to get back into a church and get things right between him and God. He said that he would. Then he took his daughter by the hand and checked out of the hospital.
God will put you in situations that you never thought you would be in, but if you look to God for the answer He will give the answer to you, but then He also expects you to act upon what He tells you. You cannot let your surrounding circumstances stop you. You see, I had to block out the fact that the emergency room was full of people and that the man wanted to get a gun and shoot up the place.
I couldn’t help but wonder, what would have happened if I hadn’t done what God told me to do, but instead had called 911.
P.S.
In case you’re wondering about the two ladies in the automobile accident. Here is the story.
Their car was totaled out and was smashed sideways between a tree and another car. The accident was so bad that they had to be cut out of the car and rushed to the hospital. When we arrived at the hospital they would only let two people in at a time, so Pastor and his wife went in and were able to pray for them. While they were praying for them, we were in the waiting room praying for the man and his little girl. The ladies only sustained minor burses. God truly watches over His people.
I would like to encourage you to take advantage of every opportunity that God sets before you, and see the miraculous happen!
We Love All of You,
