"Spring Ahead"
Dear Friends and Family,
Many of you may know that Lena has been recovering from an abdominal aorta aneurysm surgery. It has been seven weeks now since her surgery and she is doing fine. Thanks to God, and for all your prayers. She only missed one service because she was in the hospital. The first Sunday after she got out of the hospital was Easter Sunday. She said there is no way she was going to miss going to church on Easter. God gave her supernatural strength that day. She said, “I Came Out of That Grave”, and went to church and praised God. Much to our surprise, the praise team sang that song, ‘I came out of that grave’. Praising Jesus is the best picker upper there is.
For the last few months, we’ve been working with a church to help them reach out into the community to those who don’t have a church home. We are all called to go into the world around us and tell them about Jesus, and to compel them to come in, so that the house of God would be filled.
So far this year we’ve ministered in ten different churches and held seven Healing & Miracle Services, and we were part of a healing team at another church. Jesus has been showing up as the Healer, the Deliverer, and the Savior.
God has been showing up in awesome ways. We can’t help but be amazed in every service as He performs miracles. He touches, heals, delivers, and saves. How He meets everyone at their point of need is just amazing.
In one of our Healing Services, the last person in line was a lady that had curvature of the spine so bad that when she sat down her hips were on one side of the chair and her waist was on the other side. She wasn’t able to walk without the assistance of a cane. I asked her if she could straighten herself up in the chair and she said she couldn’t. I told her to say “Jesus It is My Turn”. She said it very quietly. I told her again and then she began saying it over and over again, and each time she got louder and louder. I looked at her and shouted, “Lady you’re going to walk”. I took both her hands and pulled her up out of the chair. I began walking backwards while holding her hands so that she wouldn’t fall. We then turned around and as we walked I let go of one of her hands. All of a sudden she let go of my other hand and began almost running. As she went her back straightened up. She then went back to her seat and left her cane behind. God is still in the Miracle Working Business.
In another Healing Service an elderly lady came forward and tried to tell us what she needed prayer for. But her speech was so slurred I couldn’t understand what she was saying. She tried telling me a couple more times. I tried to understand her, but I couldn’t. I thought she may have had a stroke that was causing her to have the slurred speech. As we began praying for her, the Holy Spirit came upon her and she began praying in the Spirit. The presence of the Holy Spirit was so strong that many in the audience began to worship the Lord. By the time the prayer and worship had stopped, she was speaking clearly.
While at another church the Pastor asked me to pray for a lady that had a steel plate put in her ankle nine years ago. She said that she has been in constant pain ever since and that she had to take pain pills four time a day for the past nine years. I told her about a few people that had steel rods in their backs and God had healed them and that we had also prayed for a lady that had been on pain management for fourteen years and God took her pain away instantly. After praying for her ankle, she looked at me with a puzzled look on her face. Her pain was gone.
The pastor at another church asked us if we would be part of their prayer team for a special healing service they were going to have. We prayed for a man that had a stroke. He wasn’t able to open his hand, or straighten his arm, or bend his leg. I started with his closed fist and after awhile he had it open. Then I prayed for his arm and it began moving. Then I prayed for his leg and it started bending. Other people were healed of backs, necks, and migraine headaches.
At one of our Healing and Miracle Services, a man came forward with back pain. He told us that his doctor told him that the x-rays of his back looked as if he had been hit by a big Mack Truck. Before I had a chance to pray for him, he said that as soon as he came forward and stood in front of me, all his back pain completely left him.
At another Healing and Miracle Service a man that had difficulty walking and had a lot of back pain due to a steel rod with nuts and bolts in his back. He said that as soon as he got home he would put a heating pad on his back and go to the medicine cabinet and take some pain pills. This was a daily routine. He would also have to go to the emergency room several times. God healed him that Sunday. We saw him a month later and he said that he has been without pain for a month now.
No matter where we are at, God puts people in our pathway for us to pray for them. While at the Golden Corral in Mishawaka In. we met a pastor and his wife. During our conversation the pastor’s wife said that she had a bad back. I asked her if it was hurting her at the time. She said that it was. We told her that God uses us in healing and asked if I could pray for her back. I sat beside her and placed my hand on her back and prayed that it would be healed. She said that the pain was gone. All of a sudden the pastor stood up and asked me if I would pray for his back. He told us that he had three herniated disk and hasn’t been able to do any work for the last nine years. After I had prayed for his back, I told him to do something that he wasn’t able to do before. He bent over and touched his toes without any pain.
I pray that these testimonies have encouraged you and given you more faith to trust in God.
